Hours are in the temptation to lose their originality
Minutes have embodied into an unknown realm

DİL ÖĞRENCİLERİNE OKAN HOCA TAVSİYELERİ

Sevgili öğrencilerim,

Bu Pazar uzun bir maratonun sonunda verdiğiniz emeklerin karşılığını almak için YDS sınavına gireceksiniz. Okan hocanız olarak bu sınava girmeden önce sizlere son tavsiyelerimi iletmek istedim.

1) Öncelikle girmiş olduğunuz ÖSS sınavındaki netlerinizle daha fazla kafanızı yormayın. O sınav geçmişte kaldı. Geçmişle uğraşmanın kimseye bir faydası yoktur. Sınav sonuçları gelmeden hiçbir şey belli olmaz. Hedefiniz şu dakikadan itibaren YDS olmalıdır.

2) YDS sınavına girdiğinizde tüm gücünüzü cümlelerin anlamlarını vermeye çalışmalısınız. Cümlelerin tamamını çevirmeden ya da anlam vermeden işaretleme yapmayın. Özellikle preposition sorularında ezbere göre soru çözmeyin. Mutlaka anlam verin. Gramer sorularında özelikle relative clause sorularında niteleme durumuna çok dikkat edin. Derslerde anlatılan teknikleri mutlaka hatırlayın.

3) Tutmuş olduğunuz notları ve hata defterinizi mutlaka gözden geçirin. Hata defterindeki eksiklerinizi defterinizden kontrol ediniz. Cumartesi günü ders çalışmayı bırakın. Beyninizi rahatlatan aktiviteler yapın. Örneğin; film seyredin. Etrafınızdaki insanlarla özellikle ailenizle kavga etmekten kaçının. Tabi burada velilere de çok iş düşmektedir. Okan hoca olarak velilerden bu konuda hassas davranmalarını rica ediyorum.

4) Size yöneltilecek soruların denemelerden farklı olmayacak. Bu yüzden Pazar günü yapılacak olan sınav son denemeniz olacak. Lütfen olaya bu gözle bakın.

5) Paragraf sorularında kendi yorumlarınızdan ziyade soruyu yazan kişinin mantığını tahmin etmeye çalışın. Unutmayın ki bu soruları yazan kişilerin yorumlarını bulmanız sizden istenmektedir. Bir ya da birkaç kelimenin anlamını bilemediğinizde sınavda karalar bağlamayın. Bunun size hiçbir faydası olmayacaktır. Lütfen hiçbir soruda takıntı yapmayın.

6) Hepinize ayrı ayrı çok güveniyorum. Dualarım sınavda sizinle beraber olacaktır.

ÖSS 2010 İKİ AŞAMALI

Yükseköğretim Kurulu (YÖK), 2010 yılından itibaren uygulanmak üzere yükseköğretime geçişte iki aşamalı sınav yapılması kararını aldı.

1. Adaylar ilk olarak tek oturumda yapılacak YGS'ye (Yükseköğretime Geçiş Sınavı) girecekler. Bu sınav Nisan ayında yapılacaktır. Bu sınavdan yeterli puanı alarak geçen öğrenciler ikinci sınava girme hakkı kazancaklardır. Aynı zamanda bu sınav ile beraber iki yıllık bölümlere tercih yapabileceklerdir.
2. İkinci bölümde LYS sınavları gelmektedir. LYS = Lisans Yerleştirme Sınavı. Bu sınav haziran ayında yapılacaktır.
3. LYS 5 sınavdan oluşmaktadır
4. LYS1 de Matematik, Geometri / LYS2 Fen bilimleri (Fizik, Kimya, Biyoloji) / LYS3 Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı, Coğrafya 1 / LYS4 Sosyal Bilimler (Tarih, Coğrafya, Felsefe Grubu dersleri) / LYS5 Yabancı Dil Sınavı
5. Bu sınavlara öğrenciler kendi alanlarına göre girecekler. Dilciler ise YGSyi geçtikten sonra LYS5 e girecekler ve tercihlerini buna göre yapacaklardır.

TOPDOWN (KADEMELİ TEKRAR METODU) NEDİR? NEYİ AMAÇLAR?

ÖSYM’nin yaptıgı sınavlara hazırlanırken yapılması gereken tüm çalısmaları bu metot sayesinde üstesinden gelebilirsiniz. Nasıl mı?

Topdown’da kisi parça üzerinden çalısma yapar. Yani tek tek gramer konularını çalısmak yerine kişi parçada neye ihtiyaç duyuyorsa gramer ya da kelime kalıpları olsun ancak ve ancak o zaman ögrenir. Yani ögretmenimiz özenle seçilmis parçalardır.

Topdown ile beraber kisi konuları okudugu parçalardan hatırlayarak aklında tutar. Bu beyinde sınıflandırma yöntemini kullanmayı gelistirir. Mesela bir etken edilgen konusunu “X” konulu bir parçada çalıstıgınızda daha sonra kisi ben bu konuyu “X” parçasında ögrenmistim diyebilecektir. Topdown’ın en önemli özelligi kendinizi kandırmadan kpds üds ve yds gibi sınavlara hazırlanırsınız. Çünkü basma kalıp gramer kitaplarında ögrendiklerinizle ugrasmayacaksınız onun yerine ÖSYM’nin size uygulayacagı soru mantıgını çalısıyor olacaksınız.
Topdown’daki parçaları seçerken çok çesitli davranmakta fayda vardır. Bunun için internette degisik sitelerden faydalanabilirsiniz. Önemli olan parçaları çalısırken uygulamanız gereken metotlardır.

1. lk önce parça bastan sona okunur
2. Anladıgınız konular bir yere not edilir
3. Daha sonra cümle cümle analiz yapmalısınız.
4. Cümlede yer alan yapıları, gramer konularını tespit etmelisiniz daha sonra kelimeleri mümkünse İngilizce anlamlarıyla kayıt altına almalısınız
5. Bütün bu islemler bittikten sonra anladıgınız konular bir yere not edilmelidir
6. 2. basamak ile 5. basamak arasındaki farklılıgı da analiz etmelisiniz.

Degerli veliler ve degerli ögrenciler,
Sınava yabancı dilden hazırlanmak son yıllarda degisik bir boyut kazanmıstır. Sizlere bu yazımda bu konunun nereye geldiginden bahsetmek istiyorum. Yıllardır YDS sınavlarına ögrenci hazırlayan bir Ingilizce ögretmeni olarak bu konuda sizleri bilgilendirmek istiyorum.
Okullardan Ingilizce hazırlık sınıfları kaldırıldıgından beri Ingilizceden sınavlara hazırlanmak bambaska bir boyut kazanmıstır. Eskiden ögrencilerimiz okullardaki hazırlık sınıfları sayesinde Ingilizcede belli bir temel alma sansları olabiliyordu, yalnız son yıllarda bu durum tamamen degismistir. Ögrencimiz her ne kadar meslek olarak İngilizce Ögretmeni olmak istese de sartlar buna izin vermemektedir. Bu yüzden Lise 1 den Lise 2 ye geçerken Ingilizceyi tercih eden ögrencilerimizi zor bir maraton beklemektedir. Bu dönemde ögrencilerimiz ciddi bir alt yapı kazanmak için mutlaka bir dershaneye gitmesi gerekmektedir. Özellikle YDS sınavının yapısını ögrenmesi açısından dershanelerin önemi çok daha fazla artmıstır. Her ne kadar ÖSYM ögrenciler için okul müfredatına göre Ingilizce sorularını hazırlasa da soruların yapısına yabancı oldukları için ögrencilerimiz ciddi anlamda zorlanmaktadır. Bu yüzden dershaneye Lise 2 de gitmek çok ciddi anlamda önem kazanmıstır.

Dil için dershane seçerken nelere dikkat etmeliyiz?
Öncelikle tercih ettiginiz dershane kendi sorularını hazırlayabilen bir kadroya sahip olması gerekmektedir. Özellikle dil bölümünde bunun önemi çok daha büyüktür. Soru hazırlayabilen bir Ingilizce Ögretmeni, ögrencilerini çok daha iyi tanımakta ve aynı zamanda ögrencilerinin açıklarını çok daha kısa zamanda kavrayabilmektedir. YDS soru tarzını günümüzde tanıyan ve inceleyen çok az sayıda dershane bulunmaktadır ve özellikle Konya’da bu konuya egilen dershanemiz ögrencilerimize çok daha fazla yardımcı olmak için elinden gelen bütün çalısmayı yapmaktadır. Yayınlarımız dil ögretmenlerimiz tarafından hazırlanmaktadır.

Dil hazırlıkta dershaneler ne saglar? Okullar ne saglamaktadır?
ÖSS hazırlıktan farklı olarak YDS hazırlıkta ögrencilerimizi çok farklı bir ortam beklemektedir. Okullarda ögrencilerimiz dil dısında gördükleri derslerde ÖSYM müfredatına göre ders görmektedir ancak Ingilizce için bu durum degismektedir. Herkes tarafından bilinen tek bir yargı vardır: Okullarda ögrenciler yeteri kadar hazırlık görmektedir; niçin ekstra dershaneye gitsinler? Okullarda dil ögrencileri Ingilizce ögrenmektedir ve ögretmenleri onlara bu konuda faydalı olmaya çalısmaktadır ancak YDS sorularının mantıgını anlatmak için bu yeterli degildir.
Unutulmamalıdır ki bu soruları ÖSYM yetkilileri hazırlamaktadır. Sorular her yıl ögrencilerin gramer bilgisinden öte hızlı anlamaya yönelik olmaktadır. Iste bu yüzden biz Sistem dershaneleri ögretmenleri olarak bundan sonraki yıllarda yapacagımız çalısmalarda degisik bir yol izlemeye karar verdik.
TOPDOWN (Kademeli tekrar) sistemi nedir? Neyi amaçlar?
YDS hazırlıkta uygulayacagımız yöntem bu yıldan itibaren Topdown olacaktır. Bu sistem sayesinde dil ögrencilerimiz evde çalısırken konuları tekrar etmek zorunda kalmayacaktır. Kelime sorununa ve anlama problemine kesin çözüm getiren bu yöntemde ögrencilerimiz çalısma saatlerinde sadece soru çözebileceklerdir. Aynı zamanda diger derslere de vakit ayırmada problemi yasamayacaktır. Tek tek konuları anlatıp ögrencilerden bunu tekrar etmesini beklemek yerine derslerde bu kademeli tekrar yöntemini uygulayarak dil ögrencilerimizi basarıya tasımayı hedefliyoruz. Ancak bu yöntemde yüzde yüz basarıyı yakalamak için ögrencilerimizi Lise 2 de dili tercih ettiklerinde dershanemize bekliyoruz.
